About Mercy Corps: Our Leadership:
S. Mignon Mazique, Executive Counselor
Mignon Mazique has overseen organizational and leadership development at Mercy Corps for the last five years. She is charged with ensuring that the agency maintains a culture notable for innovation, caring and discipline; attracts and retains the best people around the world; and provides its team members with professional development opportunities and the support they need to address structural, behavioral and moral challenges in their work.
Mazique received her PhD in Organizational Behavior and Administrative Sciences from Yale University, and her undergraduate degree from Oberlin College. She is chair of the board of directors of Mercy Corps Northwest, is founding board member of LINGOs (Learning in International NGOs - a consortium of international and domestic agencies), and is on the board of directors of the Portland chapter of the World Affairs Council.
Mazique taught Management Skills at McGill University School of Business in Montreal, Canada, and has worked as a consultant in leadership and organizational development for more than 25 years. She is currently on the adjunct faculty of the Center for Creative Leadership and the teaching network of Duke Corporate Education.
