OVERVIEW

Most of the world doesn't have the benefit of picking up food from the corner store - they grow it themselves. A family's plot of land has to provide for their nutritional and economic needs.

Mercy Corps works with families to ensure good crop yield, improved techniques and a fair price at local markets.

Birgina saw the coffee crisis' impact on her empty table. To provide for her family, she diversified her farm with new fruits, vegetables and livestock. Now, her family's needs are met year-round.
