The intense escalation of conflict in the Middle East has created a humanitarian crisis affecting millions of people across the region. This emergency now continues to worsen with Israel’s current offensive in Lebanon and ongoing bombardment in Gaza, a barrage of ballistic missiles fired by Iran toward Israel, and the threat of a wider regional conflict growing by the day.

No human being anywhere should be forced to flee their home, drink dirty water, watch their children go hungry, or live in fear of losing their loved ones at any moment. We call on all those with influence and power must take urgent action to protect civilians by:

  • De-escalating and halting the unrelenting violence across the region.
  • Doing everything possible to achieve an immediate and lasting ceasefire.
  • Releasing the hostages to their families.
  • Restoring life-sustaining services to Gaza.
  • Facilitating safe, sustained access to aid for millions trapped or on the move.
