The climate crisis is not “gender neutral”. Women and girls experience the greatest impacts of climate change, which amplifies existing gender inequalities and poses unique threats to their livelihoods, health, and safety.
Even as women do more with less, they are rarely centered as the leaders who can bring change to their communities.
But Mercy Corps’ Women’s Climate Alliance recognizes that women can play a significant role in climate innovation. Mercy Corps’ comprehensive approaches help address the interconnected challenges of gender discrimination and the climate crisis.
Your gift will support Mercy Corps’ Women & Climate Fund to position women at the forefront of climate resilience fforts and into leadership roles within their communities. Our Women & Climate Fund pools donations and directs them to high-priority, women-led climate initiatives, targeting overlooked communities, ensuring they have the resources and support to scale climate adaptations, maximize impact, and sustain it for the long-term.
