Youth are currently the most under-employed group in Lebanon. To address this critical concern, Mercy Corps implemented a European Union-funded program in South Lebanon that provided skills-based training to young people through private sector actors and then linked them to potential employment opportunities to build greater self-reliance.
To inform this activity, Mercy Corps conducted a labor market survey in South Lebanon to inform the programmatic approach, as well as identify the sectors with the greatest growth and what skills employers needed to expand their businesses.
