Transforming agriculture for farmers in Senegal

In many communities in Senegal, farmers relied on generators to power their basic electricity needs and to pump their water crops as droughts became more prevalent. These crops allow farms to provide for their families and generate income for their communities.

With support from Mercy Corps, new solar panels were installed in several farming communities, providing a reliable source of power for small businesses and smallholder farms.

You can fuel Mercy Corps’ efforts in supporting more farmers in multiple countries to improve their livelihoods. Make a gift to help families withstand the climate crisis and food insecurity.
