Kaarin Smith brings over twenty years of experience to her role as a development officer at Mercy Corps. Kaarin has been a strong believer in international development ever since she opened a women’s center in Lahore, Pakistan where she experienced firsthand the positive effect it had on the local community.
Kaarin enjoys working at Mercy Corps because of the relationships she gets to build with donors who make Mercy Corps’ work possible: smart and engaged people who want to make a difference in the world. Kaarin speaks Swedish and holds a Master’s degree in Social Ethics from the University of Chicago.
