Mercy Corps Adds Vijaya Gadde to Board of Directors
Gadde is Twitter’s Chief Legal Officer
PORTLAND, Ore. —Mercy Corps is pleased to announce that Vijaya Gadde is joining the global organization’s board of directors.
Ms. Gadde currently serves as Twitter’s chief legal officer, overseeing the company’s legal, public policy, compliance, and trust and safety teams. In this role, Ms. Gadde helps protect Twitter users’ online safety and allows the platform to remain a vibrant forum for the discussion of information and ideas.
Before joining Twitter in 2011, Ms. Gadde was senior legal director for Juniper Networks and an associate at the law firm of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.

Ms. Gadde is also a founding partner of #ANGELS, a San Francisco Bay Area-based investment collective that seeks to help more women attain senior positions with successful startup companies.

Ms. Gadde was named among Fortune’s 2014 “40 under 40” list of the most influential young people in business.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and a juris doctorate degree from the New York University School of Law.
Ms. Gadde will join the Mercy Corps board for its Nov. 1 meeting in Washington.
