Conflicts are rising around the world and becoming more protracted, internationalized and affected by the climate crisis. Yet, our analysis reveals a concerning trend, that U.K. spending on conflict prevention, resolution and peacebuilding has dropped significantly, from 4% of its aid budget in 2016 to just over 1% in 2023.
