Farah is the interim Regional Director for Asia region. She provides leadership, support and oversight to our teams and programs across ten countries to achieve our strategic objectives in Asia.

Farah brings extensive leadership experience with over two decades working in development and humanitarian programs in diverse and complex contexts. Previously, she has held the position of the Deputy Regional Director for Asia, and has worked with Mercy Corps’ Pakistan program as Country Director, Director of Programs and Senior Technical Health Advisor for a number of years. Prior to Mercy Corps, she worked with Medecins du Monde in Myanmar and Ethiopia and with Pharmaciens Sans Frontieres in Cambodia, on design and implementation of HIV and AIDS prevention, care and treatment programs.

Farah graduated as medical doctor in 1999 from Rawalpindi Medical College in Pakistan, and attained a masters degree in Public Health from Université Henri Poincaré in France in 2002. She looks at her years growing up in Pakistan and later traveling across the continents as a journey of learning that has been enriched by the diverse and amazing people and experiences that she encountered on the way.
