Sam is an investment professional and a venture builder with vast knowledge supporting early stage high-impact technology businesses and investing in startups across Africa. He is currently with the Mercy Corps Ventures (MCV) team where he is responsible for sourcing and supporting investments across Africa.

Prior to his current role at MCV, Sam was a Venture Partner at a not-for-profit that invests in and trains African Entrepreneurs with an aim to create Africa’s next global tech entrepreneurs and provide jobs on the continent. During his time there, he managed a portfolio of 15 startups.

Sam’s career journey has also featured time working in an international law firm, an investment bank, and multiple Africa focused venture capital firms.
