Conflict Sensitivity Training Course

Aid workers engage with diverse communities all over the world, with different demographics, languages, religions and cultures. But we all have one universal thing in common: conflict. Whether it’s two neighbours arguing over a fence or countries waging war over resources, conflict exists in every corner of the globe and in every community.

If we want our presence to decrease - rather than increase - tensions within a community, we need to be sensitive to conflict and adapt our approach accordingly. Therefore, Mercy Corps and CDA Collaborative Learning developed a conflict sensitivity training course and toolkit. The course and toolkit provide key information and practical strategies for incorporating conflict sensitivity into aid work at both the strategic programme level and in day-to-day interactions with programme participants.
